Survival in the wasteland isn’t just about skill and instinct—it’s about having the right gear. Whether you're exploring ruins, facing down raiders, or navigating the Enclave’s strict resource economy, equipment plays a key role in your journey.

This post breaks down the essential categories of equipment, from weapons and armor to cybernetic enhancements and vehicles. Whether you rely on scavenged tech or high-end Enclave manufacturing, knowing your options is the first step to staying alive.

Mystic Powers

Mystic Powers stem from the Fae and mutations. When the Fae returned, they reintroduced Magic Words, phrases of power that shape reality. Meanwhile, radiation-induced mutations led to the emergence of Psychic Powers. Lastly, belief in spirit animals—awakened by the Fae’s return—gave rise to Totem Aspects, drawing power from faith.

Each system is unique yet shares common mechanics. Let’s explore them below.

Not every fight has to be a lone battle—sometimes, you need backup. Whether it's a loyal henchman, a trained militia squad, or a fierce animal companion, allies provide tactical support and shared responsibility in combat.

In Sentius: Last Enclave, the system supports both player-acquired henchmen and GM-assigned allies, making combat more dynamic while ensuring players stay engaged rather than waiting for long GM turns.

As the final step in character creation, Hindrances and Traits add depth, personality, and mechanical impact to your hero.

Hindrances introduce flaws, quirks, and personal struggles, making characters feel more than just stat blocks.
Traits provide mechanical advantages and special abilities, shaping how a character excels in the world.

Together, they create dynamic, well-rounded characters who feel unique, challenged, and powerful.

Ancestries Part II

After receiving feedback, I took a hard look at the classic fantasy tropes I initially used for the Light and Dark Fae. While recognizable, they lacked a distinct identity for Sentius: Last Enclave.

I realized that by leaning too heavily on existing archetypes, I wasn’t creating something unique. Other games thrive without relying on familiar ancestries, so I began reformulating my vision.

What emerged was a new take on the Fae, one that feels more primal, more alien, and deeply woven into the setting's post-apocalyptic magic.

Taking a break from mechanics, let’s explore the backdrop of the world where your characters struggle to survive.

The year is 3246, and 237 years ago, humanity tore itself apart in World War III—a nuclear conflict that decimated civilization in an instant.

Some enclaves were prepared, and Enclave Sentius, deep in the Arizona desert, was one such place. Shielded from the devastation, it endured while the world outside collapsed into nuclear winter and chaos.

The war lasted only as long as it took for the missiles to reach their targets.

In Sentius: Last Enclave, your character’s growth and success are shaped by two key mechanics:

  • Advancement – How your character improves over time, gaining new abilities and refining their skills.
  • Luck – A way for players to control their destiny, influencing rolls and reshaping fate.

Today, we'll break down both systems—starting with Advancement, then moving on to Luck.

After World War III, the world descended into chaos, but at that time, there was only one known ancestry: Humans.

However, when the walls between realms shattered, magic surged back into the world, allowing six new ancestries to emerge. These newcomers were split into two factions:

  • The Light FaeElves, Dwarves, and Gnomes
  • The Dark FaeOrcs, Goblins, and Trolls

For forty years, these factions waged war, while humans were caught in the middle. But as time passed, negotiations led to peace, and Enclave Sentius became the first unified city, where all seven ancestries now live side by side.

A character is more than just their skills. Their core abilities define their strengths and weaknesses, shaping both physical and mental attributes—everything from reflexes and endurance to intelligence and willpower.

In Sentius: Last Enclave, abilities are divided into two categories:

  • Primary Abilities – The core physical and mental traits of a character.
  • Calculated AbilitiesSecondary attributes derived from Primary Abilities.

Each plays a vital role in defining what a character can do and how they interact with the world.

What if every character—no matter how untrained—always had a chance to succeed?

In Sentius: Last Enclave, skill matters—but luck and grit can turn the tide. That’s why 12 is the magic number—the foundation of every roll, challenge, and triumph.
