As the final step in character creation, Hindrances and Traits add depth, personality, and mechanical impact to your hero.

Hindrances introduce flaws, quirks, and personal struggles, making characters feel more than just stat blocks.
Traits provide mechanical advantages and special abilities, shaping how a character excels in the world.

Together, they create dynamic, well-rounded characters who feel unique, challenged, and powerful.

Hindrances & Traits Breakdown

  • Hindrances come in Minor (1 pt) and Significant (2 pts) options, each affecting roleplay and mechanics.
  • Traits have no tier system, but some require a Professional skill level, meaning they can only be taken post-character creation.
  • Animal Companion Traits allow companions to grow and evolve, should your character acquire one.
